Waiting for you calling out your name
Sunny days are comin shining thru the rain
A hundred years of memories
Faded glory and loving tears
Close your eyes can you feel it next to you
Waiting for you calling out your name
Softly spoken you say “Yes Lorraine”
Time for you to come upstairs
Dinner’s ready an I don’t care
Whatever it is it’ll wait for another day
Waiting for you calling out your name
Is it Italy or France maybe Spain
On the steps of the Acropolis
It doesn’t get any better than this
Hurry now so you don’t miss a thing
She’s waiting for you calling out your name
Sunny days are coming shining thru the rain
She’s waiting for you calling out your name
This song is a tribute to my grandparents, John and Lorraine Cleaveland. My grandmother passed away over 10 years ago and my grandfather celebrated his 99th birthday in December 2007.
